The three of them are Belgian. They are talented. They are three troubadours of modern times who lead you on a journey through myths and Celtic legends along with Scandinavian epics, as well as other traditional laments, polyphony, bagpipes and flutes.
Through different projects, Griff Trio has created a new soundscape for bagpipes. Beside bagpipes, whistles and vocals have become more and more important, all while maintaining the same polyphonic approach.
Tradition is their root, but their work explores harmony and virtuosity in both early and more contemporary music. They literally “shape air” and transport their audience to a world of creativity.
To put it in a nutshell: bagpipes, whistles and voice from a 21st century troubadour trio!
Liesbet Marivoet: vocal, flute, cornemuse
Raphaël De Cock: vocal, whistle, uilleann pipes
Rémi Decker: vocal, whistle, pastoral pipes
“… they bring bagpipe music to a higher level!”

“Okay, this is a bagpipe overdose, but it is no overkill. As any fine drug it provides sweet dreams and tranquility, and you get addicted after a while…”
